KINGSPAN – Polyurethane dust extraction system from the adhesive application booth in plate production

  • by
K&W Expert system odciągu pyłu poliuretanowego z kabiny nakładania kleju w produkcji płyt Kingspan

Kingspan is one of the leading manufacturers of sandwich panel systems in Poland. They offer sandwich panels with an insulating core of polyurethane, polyisocyanurate (FIREsafe) and mineral wool and a complete range of refrigeration and freezing doors. The customer also offers tanks for sewage, liquid fuels, tanks for oil storage and biological sewage treatment plants.

Offered solution:

The purpose of the system is the need to extract polyurethane dust generated during the application of glue in the production of boards.

The filter unit is equipped with 2 layers of filter material with different filtration accuracy. Air suctioned through the roof of the cabin without the use of piping. All devices were placed on a previously prepared frame covering the entire roof of the cabin and extended by an additional 2000mm to enable the installation of stairs and the construction of a working platform made of Wema grilles.

All elements of the piping system are made of galvanized steel, while the filter cartridge housings and the drip housing are made of stainless steel. The structural elements of the frame and the fan were made of painted black sheet.

An identical polyurethane dust extraction system in the production of boards was made for Kingspan Hungary.
